Video: EU To Monitor Gas Supply
European Union states are keeping a close watch for restrictions to their gas supply from Russia following Gazprom's contract dispute with neighbouring Ukraine. Russia's tough stance with Ukraine has lead to accusations of bullying, though Moscow says its row with Kiev is purely commercial. Gazprom's finances have been hurt by the global credit crisis and falling gas prices. On Friday Russia sent a letter to the European Parliament offering to participate in a meeting, at which it would give its evaluation of the disputes.
