Video: GlaxoSmithKline's Human Papilloma Virus Vaccine to Compete with Merck's Gardasil
The FDA has approved GlaxoSmithKline's (GSK) human papilloma virus vaccine, Cervarix. Competitor Merck (MRK) beat the Glaxo to the market in 2006 with its Gardasil vaccine, which targets the two primary strains of the virus responsible for an estimated three quarters of all cervical cancer cases.
