Video - Business Update: Recession fears build
U.S. stocks tumbled closer to a November bear market low as investors around the world feared signs the global malaise was spreading. The Dow lost 297 points, a drop of 3.8 percent, to 7,552. The S&P 500 tumbled 37 points, or 4.6 percent, to 789. The Nasdaq shed 63 points, or 4.2 percent, to 1,470. Conway Gittens reports from New York.
